Get the Most out of Office 365 with Powell 365 – Collaborate Simply
Today, we are discussing how to simply collaborate and make full use of your office 365 capabilities in your own corporate intranet. I am with Ryan today. Our agenda is to introduce quickly. We will discuss some Office 365 functions and how we integrate them. But what we want to focus on today is the personal board labels on our website. They include outlook, planner, delve, groups, Yammer, and the ability to extend these capabilities, including power bi, office video, excel documents, and any office 365 component.
Powell is made up of two platforms. The first is Powell manager. Powell manager is a design and deployment platform that allows you to build your site. From there, you can deploy online through Office 365 tenants, or in SharePoint 2016 or later versions or mixes.
From there you can get a Powell Web site, which is our eye-catching personalized user experience with a full set of widgets and applications to build your site. As I mentioned, Powell manager is a platform for IT departments to design and deploy their SharePoint templates and structures without any coding.
To build any type of communication in a collaborative workplace, it enables you to manage, maintain, and update SharePoint and group environments. It is a very simplified and automated way, with little or no code. Powell Site has created and configurable workplaces that provide a compelling personalized user experience and a full range of features that enhance user participation and overall Office 365 adoption.
We provide seamless updates. We will deal with all Office 365 compliance for you. All changes on office 365 will be integrated as soon as possible in Powell and Powell 365. You just click to update all the content without creating any type of complex script.
We are always the latest or evergreen trees. The first thing you’ll notice when you enter our home page is that we logged in to Office 365 in SharePoint because Linda wave is at the top. We have five buttons. I want to go through this. The first is very interesting. This is a small minus sign switch that you will notice. If I click this button, I’ll hide the SharePoint grid and all of our information in SharePoint.
Some companies like to do so. Some people do not. You can do that. This is a unique function, because you have a custom Intranet built entirely. Even though it is built on SharePoint.
When I click on the latest activity, in the rest of these buttons, you’ll see that these are the latest activities of Linda wave. This is all security measures based on user and office 365. It will show the latest activities of Linda.
The next one is the favorites. You can browse the website and mark your favorite part of the website. It allows you to jump quickly without having to go to the tab. This is a very good function.
Next, we have a translation. It is an optical translator based on Bing, which allows you to translate web pages into many different languages. If you have any foreign users, they can translate the website into different languages.
Next to it may be the best choice on our website. It is the ability to manage website content. This is based on user and security trimming. Not everyone can see all of these options, but if you have user or security settings, you can edit pages, site content, site permissions, site settings and properties in Powell 365 without going to SharePoint or going back to Powell Manager. It is very easy to maintain and update your site.
Next we will introduce this page, let’s learn some options we built. First is the company news widget, which is a neat thing. Whenever you are on the Powell website, you will see more buttons. If I click on it, it will drill down and provide me with more information about this news.
Most importantly, when I delve into it, it shows you which department published the news, what the category was, who the author or author was, when it was created, and how the person was created. You have built some analysis functions in the website to provide you with this information.
This is the content that you do not need to include in your website. If you want to have it, you can build it. We will go back to our home page tab, the company news widget is the departmental news widget.
What you will notice is that there is a preference button. If I click on it, as a user, I can choose the news preference I want to see. If I just want to see the news from marketing or human resources or IT, I can do that, and it will save these settings.
Next we have a quick access widget. Our establishment includes new employee entry, human resources knowledge base and employment opportunities. But you can configure it as needed. In fact, you can configure our entire page in the website, but you are very easy.
This is to let you know some options that can be made in Powell. Next we have a stock widget. If you are a listed company, you can put the widget on it. If not, you must not include it.
Below we have a sales widget linked to the Excel document. It is not rendering. This is linked to the Excel document. If you click the View More button, you’ll notice that it takes us to the document that contains the data source.
Next we have a poll widget. You can poll the website at any time and get more feedback from your staff. Next we have an event widget. This is related to calendars and company calendars. If I click that, it will bring me into the company calendar. I have all this information.
Next we have a video widget. One clever thing about our video widget is that when I clicked on it, all of our videos were embedded in Powell’s website. When you click on something and you don’t have access to the network, you don’t have access to YouTube or anything else.
It can help many companies solve the security problems that do not want employees to visit external websites. That’s our homepage. But what we should focus on today is, as I mentioned before, on my board of directors. I’m going to click on my motherboard, which is a lot of the Office 365 components we mentioned earlier. This is Linda wave. We have logged into Linda wave to customize personal pages. The whole website is all safety adornment.
No matter who the user is, these are user defined pages. The first thing you will notice is that these two widgets are bound to Outlook. If I click on any of these for more information, I’ll go straight to Linda wave’s outlook mailbox. I can send, receive and input all my e-mail on the website. I don’t have to go anywhere.
Next is my task widget. This is related to planners. If I Click to see more information, I’ll be taken to Linda Wave Planner, and I can see all the different things she’s planning this week, and the work she’s doing.
If I’m below that, I’m in the group tag. Ingeniously, for example, if I click on the marketing team team, you’ll see that all the employees are members of my team. You can see all the recent conversations in my group or the different messages posted in the group. This is a complete snapshot of the team and the team.
The following is a discussion widget linked to Yammer. If I click on it, I will be brought to my Yammer feed. I have a complete Yammer feed and all the different groups I have focused on in Yammer. This is a complete Yammer integration.
Next is my document widget binding to delve. If I Click to see more, it will give me my card, it will give me all my latest files, I have been working in the same place. If I go back and click on the hot document for the entire group using delve, it will extract the group document that everyone is working on. You can also see the left side. We have a small organization chart that pops up diamonds.
That’s all the people who work with Linda, whether on the same team or under her, but you’ve set it up. This is our focus and how we integrate all these functions in Powell 365. Now everything is on Facebook, and we have a search widget power Bi. We have many different widgets, these are Powell custom widgets. Microsoft also has many.
I’ve shown you how we can integrate with all these Outlook features, including multiple displays, the ability to directly track and manage all e-mail from Powell, and the ability to create and edit Powell’s e-mail. You can also directly access Microsoft Exchange.
In the planner, we have multiple monitors that can be done from my own mission to all tasks. We can track and manage all assigned tasks directly in Powell. We can create a reassignment task directly from Powell. The best way is to access planner directly through single sign on. You have to sign two different things all the time. This is very easy.
In groups, you can view all public groups, your favorite groups, or all the groups you belong to. You can directly manage group members and manage all dialogues. You can quickly access all group functions through our Yammer widget group widget.
You can join the global discussion of Feed. You can view specific groups. You can comment on likes and sharing. It’s easy to configure. It needs about two hits. It is very simple to use. Our drilling widgets enable you to retrieve the final document. You can know what your colleagues share with you. It can also display different documents. It uses office graphics API instead of standard SharePoint API to provide more accurate search. It’s more powerful.
