I’ll introduce you to some of the features and features of Office 365, starting with the basics of Microsoft’s online portal. In this course, I’ll show you how to log in to different portals, what they do, and how to view your account information and change your password.
Therefore, a portal is a home page that lets you access all of Microsoft Office 365, where you can get e-mail, view calendars, change passwords, and other information about an online portal.
It can be accessed from any Internet-connected device and Web browser that includes computers, tablets, and many mobile devices, and can be used with most Web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari.
Depending on the device you use, there are several ways to access the online portal. If you are using a corporate computer, the easiest way is to look up the Microsoft Office 365 portal icon, which will be hidden in different locations on the Start menu, depending on how it is installed and the version of Windows you have. After you find it, click it, and it will open the portal in the default browser.
If you are using a personal computer, mobile device, or want to use a non-default browser, open the browser, enter the site address, Microsoft online.com, and note that there is no WW at the beginning of the site address. Now you’ll see a very basic login screen that asks for your user ID and password, your user ID is your full corporate e-mail address, and your company will provide you with a password, enter this information.
Before you click on the login, look at the two small boxes below, one has been checked, and that is the box that remembers me. If you check it, it will remember your password, but it may be a big risk, so I recommend keeping it unrestricted. Then click login.
This is the main screen of the Microsoft online portal. At the top, you will see a section called start here. If you’re using it for the first time, you can access Office 365’s user guide and Quick Start Guide.
Next up is Outlook, where you can access your email calendar, contact list, and task links, which allow you to download and install Lync clients, which may or may not be displayed on your page version. It gives you access to the company’s SharePoint site, a product that allows you to access shared and collaborative processing of documents and information.
In the upper right corner, you’ll see links to my profile and exit links. My profile section allows you to access your profile information, such as your name, phone number and photos, and to reset your password.
Finally, the gray box on the right provides you with resources for some of the most common questions about Office 365, and allows you to search for specific topics in Microsoft’s help database and community forums, which is a great place to go if you have questions or if you want more information about Office 365.
Let’s look at my personal data, as you can see, this will show some basic information uploaded by our company, my name, address, phone number, and even my photos, you can click to change the photos to upload your own photos. If you think the language is boring, you can choose different display languages from the drop-down menu.
Perhaps most importantly, you can change your password here, enter the current or old password, and then enter a new password in the new password box. Microsoft can even let you know if your password is strong or weak, and provide you with suggestions to enhance your password. When you’re done, click Submit and return to the main portal page, click the home page link at the top of the page, so you have Microsoft’s online portal.
